People often talk about financial careers on the "buy-side", and Private Equity is a common path. In simple terms, private equity firms acquire companies, improve them to increase returns, and eventually sell to earn a profit. Some of the largest private equity firms today include KKR, Carlyle Group, Blackstone, and Bain Capital. Total assets under management by private equity groups are estimated to have exceeded two trillion dollars at the end of March 2012, and funds available for investment totaled 949 billion dollars.

If any of this sounds interesting at all (or if you just want some free food catered by
The Orient), then come join us at CARSON L02 at 7pm!

There will be a Q&A session after for any additional questions.

The speakers include Tuck ‘14s who have had experiences working at a wide range of firms, including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, BCG, Meritage Funds, and more!

*Please RSVP by blitzing back to this account so we know how much food to order ;)
