1) What Matters to Me and Why this TUESDAY with Rabbi Robin Nafshi, an out lesbian rabbi!

Please join us this Tuesday from 12-1PM in the Tucker Foundation Living Room for the first "What Matters To Me and Why" of the term with Rabbi Robin Nafshi of Temple Beth Jacob in Concord, NH, the first female and lesbian rabbi at her Temple.  She is also the Jewish Chaplain at St. Paul's School and an advocate for interfaith dialogue. Great conversations – Free lunch.

 

She will also give a public lecture at 4:30pm entitled, "Coming Out But Staying In: The LGBT Jewish Experience" in Rocky 103. Her spouse, Cantor Shira Nafshi, will be giving a concert that evening at the Roth Center at 7pm.

3) Jonathan Pedde '14 preaching at tonight's Sunday Night Chapel at 5pm

Sunday Night Chapel beings TODAY from 5-5:30pm in Rollins Chapel and will feature graduating seniors preaching each week.  This term's theme is: "The Parables of Jesus" and tonight Jonathan Pedde '12 will be preaching on the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30).   All are welcome. For more information, contact Nancy Vogele at [log in to unmask]

6) Opera North is looking for volunteers on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5

Opera North is requesting volunteers for their annual Stars on Stage Gala, a fundraising gala with dinner and silent auction that benefits education programs and summer productions. We need volunteers to help set up tables and chairs and decorate on Friday in three hour shifts, and help us usher, serve food, and clean up on Saturday during the Gala. 7) Hanover LaCross looking for Assistant Coach!

The boys 7th grade lacrosse team in Hanover is looking for a volunteer to help coach the team! The season is from March 25 to June 8 with practices 3 times a week, usually MWF in the early evening and games throughout the week & on Sundays. Games are local with the exception of 4 games with .5-1.5 hours of travel. The coach also mus be "US lacrosse certified" but anyone can get certified before the season starts. Glyn Elwyn, Professor and Senior Scientist will be moderating a panel on Tuesday, April 1 from 7-8 PM at Rocky 2 featuring health care professionals from Alice Peck Day, Dartmouth Health Connect, and the VA  Medical Center in White River Junction.
