Israel, The Search for Peace and the Arab Spring
Former Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, is visiting Dartmouth this Tuesday, November 12th. He will be giving a public lecture at 4:30 PM in Cook Auditorium, Murdough.*

*No bags will be allowed into the auditorium

On Thursday, November 14th, from 12-1 PM, J Street U will host a lunch discussion on Olmert's involvement in the conflict and his visit to campus. The lunch will take place on the second floor of Foco.

Ehud Olmert Served as the Israeli Prime Minister from 2006 to 2009. Although some argue that peace talks between Olmert and Mahmoud Abbas brought Israelis and Palestinians close to peace, throughout his time as Prime Minister, Olmert faced allegations of corruption, which led to his resignation. During his time as Prime Minister, Olmert oversaw such controversies as the 2006 Lebanon War and escalating conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
