Come celebrate Constitution Day with the Rockefeller Center this Wednesday from 4:30-6:00 PM!

 

Annette Gordon-Reed ’81 will be giving a lecture titled “Our Founders’ Constitution” to explore the evolution of the Constitution from when it was first created, through the wake of the Civil War, and today.

 

Gordon-Reed is a Dartmouth Alum who is currently on the Board of Trustees. She is a Professor of Law at Harvard Law School as well as a Professor of History at Harvard University. She published her first book, Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings: An American Controversy in 1997. In 2008, Gordon-Reed published The Hemingses of Monticello: An American Family, which won 16 book awards, including the 2009 Pulitzer Prize in history and the National Book Award.

 

Come to Rocky 3 at 4:30 PM on Wednesday 9/18 to celebrate Constitution Day and learn about the document that shaped our nation’s history and political system.
