“United in Anger: A History of ACT UP” is an inspiring documentary about the HIV/AIDS activist movement. It is unique in that combines archival footage to document how
a small group of men and women of all races and classes, came together to save each other’s lives.
"United in Anger" also explores how ACT UP (Aids Coalition to Unleash Power) remains a model
and touchstone for activists working across a host of issues, from cancer and disease research to patient advocacy.
Ron Goldberg is a writer and activist. As a member of ACT UP from 1987 - 1994, Ron was a lead organizer for many of the group’s major demonstrations and participated
in countless zaps and actions. Ron chaired numerous committees, facilitated the weekly Monday night meetings, wrote fact sheets and fundraising appeals. Since leaving ACT UP in 1994,
Ron has helped organize a number of Marriage Equality and anti-Prop 8 demonstrations in New York City and participated in anti Iraq-war and Occupy Wall Street protests
