About the Program: The YES program<http://yesprograms.org/>, or the Youth Employment Summer program, was founded by Dartmouth Alumnus Michael Stern ’59 twenty years ago in hopes of planting the seeds of future business leaders in inner-city high school students by placing them in corporate summer internships. The YES interns are placed in corporate internships Monday through Thursday 9-5, then meet with the YES staff on Friday to discuss the work placement, and then go on cultural trips in the afternoon. Towards the end of the program, the group embarks on a four day trip to Dartmouth to experience college life. The interns get to meet a myriad of college students, and gain insight on the vast array of opportunities that college has to offer.
