The Collis Center, Green Key Society, and the Winter Carnival Council are reviving an old Winter Carnival Tradition.  This year, Winter Carnival will feature a new and improved snow sculpture contest on the Green.  A few details:

Any college-recognized organization (including living units, athletic teams, alumni groups, and academic and administrative departments) can participate.

All sculptures must be on the Green.  Snow, barrels, and shovels will be provided.  Groups can "rent" chisels and hammers from the Collis office (limited supply).

Building hours are noon to 10pm on Thursday, February 9 and 8am to 3pm on Friday, February 10.  From 3:30-5p, the community is invited to view all the finished sculptures and the Green Key Society will host hot chocolate and cider on the Collis Patio.  The winners of the contest will be announced at 5pm on the Collis Patio.

1st place:  $500

2nd place:  $300

3rd place:  $200
