>Subject: Free Japanese fonts for browsing the WWW on Win95?

Dear all,
I am looking for free true type fonts for Japanese in the Windows 95
environment. We have installed KanjiWord 3 and it works fine for typing in
Japanese, however, browsing the Web in Japanese does not work, even though
the browser was set to Japanese encoding etc. There are some commercial
products available for browsing the Web, but since my colleagues from the
Classics Department located freeware fonts for Greek and Hebrew, I am
hoping to receive a pointer from the LLTI list to free Japanese fonts.

1. Does anybody know of any public domain Japanese fonts for Windows 95?

2. If you have Windows 95 machines in your lab which a capable of browsing
the Web in Japanese, I would like to learn about your set up. Please
contact me directly.

Thank you very much in advance,
