I am watching a a pair of Bluebirds perched in our young sugar maple warming themselves in the early morning 13 F sunlight. They seem interested in our box but I believe remain undecided, unaware of the housing shortage in the Upper Valley. They seem uninterested in the shelled sunflowers or the special “bluebird suet” I specifically had Amazon deliver. Meanwhile, they appear to be taking advice from 4 friendly goldfinch as a Red Winged blackbird gorges itself in our seed tray. What a beautiful morning!
