It is a pleasure to report that Chris Rimmer, well known among Upper Valley birders and a frequent contributor to this listserve, has been awarded the Margaret Morse Nice Medal for 2022 from the Wilson Ornithological Society as announced by that society earlier today, June 11.
The Wilson Ornithological Society, founded in 1886, is a leading ornithological society concerned with research, teaching, and conservation of birds worldwide. The Margaret Morse Nice Medal is the premier award given by that society. Chris is the most recent of numerous distinguished awardees who have received that medal. Each year's awardee is invited to present the opening Plenary Lecture at the Annual Meeting of the society which this year is to be in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
