We’ve been visited daily by a flock of cardinals (5 males and 4 females) for the past week, and one lone white throated sparrow.
No finches this year at all, but lots of jays, mourning doves, juncos and chickadees.
I also see nuthatches (white and red), a brown creeper, and 3 flavors of woodpeckers (downy, hairy, red-bellied).
Oh, and a lone turkey. How could I forget him? He just walked into view. He’s much less timid than past turkeys. He stays closeby, watching and clucking, when I go out to spread seed.
So much better than television!
