The White-eyed Vireo that vireo whisperer Kyle Jones found yesterday morning and was seen again by Wayne Scott in early afternoon is still at Ratcliffe Park by the community gardens, in thickets along the north border of the garden. It’s not terribly cooperative, so be patient, but I had some great looks.
Larry Morin and I also had a fleeting glimpse of a different bird that looked as if it may have been a vireo, or possibly a warbler, but had no wing bars or visible yellow. I saw it very briefly again after Larry left, but it eluded me, and I’m not hazarding a guess as to ID…
