THE high point of the day were 3 Long-tailed Ducks (a male and 2 females) seen near the south end of Lake Mascoma. There were single loons on Chrystal and Mascoma Lakes. A flock of 24 Canada geese were at the north end of Mascoma near the dam. At Wilder, a pair of Ring-necked Ducks were diving along with 16 Hooded Mergs and 3 male Common Goldeneye. Mallards were omnipresent. A single Black Duck was at Chrystal while two were spotted at the south end of Mascoma.
