Today’s phenomenal birding along the river continues. A female Common Eider is off the mouth of the Ompompanoosuc River, while a Red-throated Loon is at Kilowatt South right now, as are 3 Horned Grebes. The dense scoter flock now numbers 125+ birds and includes a male Long-tailed Duck. 13 Bufflehead are still present and a dozen scaup. The Red-breasted Mergansers are gone, but an Osprey just flew by.
It doesn’t get much better than this!
