I was treated to a spectacular scene from my living room window yesterday at around noon. My yard and garden were dripping with birds. Flickers, robins, hummingbirds, flycatchers, mixed fall warblers, chickadees, finches, and probably others. Two different warblers sat on my shepherd’s crook while a hummingbird drank just 8 inches away. I watched what I think was a juvenile chestnut-sided catch and eat an inchworm just a few feet from where I sat. It was a magical 15 minutes! I love this time of year!
