A male and 3 female evening grosbeaks in our yard this morning, along with the rose breasted, purple finches, and a group of about a dozen blue jays. Fun to watch the pecking order. Such a chuckle to see the female rosebreasteds yell at the blue jays and keep them off the feeder! (We bring our feeders in every night).
Also worth mentioning I saw a mother moose and TWO very small moose together in our yard last week, munching on birch buds. There are signs that they visit us frequently. We live near the Shaker Museum, so keep your eyes peeled if you travel out that way, especially at night.
