*Responsibilities*



   - Design a new version of our current automated device using CAD software

   - Construct this new version using rapid prototyping instruments and

   procedures that meet minimum regulatory requirements

   - Build the electrical circuitry needed to run the various modules of

   the new prototype

   - Develop software to integrate the device with the chemical testing

   portion of our Biomarker Detection Platform



*Desired Skills And Experience*



The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with experience in mechanics, robotics, electronics, and software development. We are looking for Makers, people with solid technical skills in the fields of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. Close attention will be paid to the applicant's project portfolio with less emphasis on highest level of education attained.



   - Experience in design of robotic products (experience in medical device

   design is a plus)

   - Excellent working knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Autodesk

   Inventor preferred)

   - Extensive experience with rapid prototyping machines (3-D printers,

   CNC machines, laser-cutter, etc.)

   - Experience with electronics, including light sources (LEDs, lasers,

   tungsten bulbs/monochromators) and detection systems (photodiodes,

   photomultiplier tubes (PMTs), avalanche photodiodes (APD), CMOS, and CPD

   sensors)

   - Programming experience with microcontroller platforms such as Arduino

   and Raspberry Pi (Java, Python, C++)
