Pickings were slim at Campbell Flats this morning - more species of
sparrows (6) than warblers (2), a sign of the advancing season perhaps.
An immature Northern Harrier, 2 Red-tailed Hawks and 4 Turkey Vultures
passed by.

At Pompy Flats, which were moderately exposed, the only shorebirds were
10 Killdeer. At 6:30 pm, these had been replaced by a single Solitary
Sandpiper.

With a cold front due to come through tomorrow night, Sunday morning
could feature some good birding. We hope folks will join our Windsor
Quest outing, meeting at Ledyard park-and-ride at 7 am and heading
upriver from there.

Chris
