There were also 2 White-winged Scoters at Runnemede this evening. They
were still present when I left at 8:45PM.

> This afternoon I walked the River Trail in Hanover, and I was pleasantly
> surprised to find three White-winged Scoters huddled together in the
> Connecticut River south of Ledyard Bridge. Soon after I spotted the birds,
> they took off, probably flushed by an approaching canoeist. They circled
> overhead several times, giving me good views, before heading northward
> over the river, apparently moving out for good.
