This morning's Windsor Quest outing to Runnemede produced a few good
birds, the most surprising being a cooperative Common Gallinule foraging
along the back (west) shore across from the gazebo peninsula. We watched
it for a good 15 minutes as it gradually walked and swam north along the
shore.
Migrant landbirds weren't plentiful, but we had close-range looks at a
foraging male Blackpoll Warbler and singing Mourning Warbler, and
fleeting glimpses of a singing No. Waterthrush. The two female Common
Goldeneyes are still present.
