Saw one at Runnemede yesterday in the late afternoon/early evening. First
saw the black and white pattern, then got a really good, long look of the
back side with the yellow spot on the rump. Also of note were 5 Great Blue
Heron, all on the opposite (south) side of the lake from the gazebo. 18
Ring-necked ducks were still present as well as 2 Pied-billed Grebes (back
pond) & both Common and Hooded Mergansers.
