CNC Programmer (Software Engineer)

As part of the Advanced Manufacturing team you will be playing an integral role as the connector between our Plasma Processing Engineers and our CNC production associates by:
*         Developing post-processor programs between Esprit and our CNC lathes to assist in our machining processes.
*         Develop, optimize, and maintain program templates and tools /  fixtures libraries to expedite CAD-to-Production process, while increasing our machining process efficiency and accuracy for our tight-tolerance consumables.
*         Participate in cross-team collaborative discussions lending your experience towards new creative solutions to improve process efficiency, accuracy and cost reduction - while never losing sight of our high-quality expectations!
*         Support tooling design, equipment selection, and automation implementation, working in conjunction with manufacturing process engineers.

Our ideal CNC Programmer (Engineer) candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical) or Computer Science (software engineering focused) with programming experience including post-processor design.  Your engineering degree coupled with your expertise with multi-axis machine programming will help you manage and modify our CNC post-processor programs ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our CNC programs throughout our production floor.
Requirements:
*         Independently motivated, collaborative team player
*         Ability to articulate through example CNC programming process efficiencies implemented in tight-tolerance machining environments.
*         Prior experience with Esprit and Solidworks (open to consider other CNC and CAD software language experience)
*         Post processor programming experience for Miyano and Tsugami CNC multi-spindle lathes (Citizens and Mori Seiki - are a bonus!)
*         In-depth experience with M and G code
*         Experience with metal machining using multi-spindle lathes (copper, brass, aluminum, and steel alloys)
*         Solid on-going commitment to continuous process improvements
