Today Ed Hack and I looked for birds at several locations in eastern  
Windsor County, VT, including Lake Runnemede (LR) in Windsor, Old  
Connecticut River Road (OCRR) and Hoyt's Landing (HL) in Springfield,  
and the North Springfield Reservoir (NSR) in Springfield and  
Weathersfield. Among highlights today were

Bufflehead -- 2 at NSR
Pied-billed Grebe -- 1 at HL
Double-crested Cormorant -- 1 at HL
Great Blue Heron -- at least 2 at NSR
Belted Kingfisher -- 1 at LR; 1 at NSR
Eastern Bluebird -- 1 at LR
Hermit Thrush -- 1 at HL
Gray Catbird -- 1 at LR
American Tree Sparrow -- 1 at LR
Rusty Blackbird -- 1 along OCCR
