This morning a Great Blue Heron was perched near its large nest a
little below the top of a tall pine tree along the western side of the
Tigertown Road beaver ponds in Norwich, VT. The nest is on private
property but readily seen from Tigertown Road. Although I had, some
years ago, heard that Great Blues had been found nesting in the past
within Norwich, today provided my first sighting of a Great Blue nest
in the town.

Last month, a Green Heron (orange legs, etc.) was reported to me to
have been seen by a sizable nest placed off the ground in vegetation
alongside a small pond in Norwich. That site is on private property
and not visible from a public road.
