Noticing open water above and below the Ledyard Bridge over the past two
days, I took a run down to Kilowatt and Wilder Dam this evening at 7 pm,
mainly to check status of the dusk waterfowl roost. There were no birds
below the dam, and I left after 5 minutes, heading up to the Kilowatt
boat access. Ice is ~60% out above the dam, and waterfowl were there,
though the night roost has apparently dispersed for the most part. I
had 2 Mallards, 2 Common Mergansers, 36 Hooded Mergansers, and 5 adult
Ring-billed Gulls.

Let the games begin...

Chris
