OpenAFS client v1.6.2 has been released for Mac (10.6, 10.7, 10.8) and 
Linux.

For Macs, there are not many changes, but one important one is that the 
long delays on system shutdown have been eliminated.  This was a bug 
causing a race condition in unloading the AFS kernel module at shutdown.
For this reason alone it is worth upgrading.

The local OpenAFS download site at 
https://caligari.dartmouth.edu/downloads/openafs/
has the new installers.
