Software Engineer (Greater Boston)

Join a fast-growth medical device company which boasts excellent investment backing, a proven executive management team and FDA approved products that are well-respected in the surgical arena.

Responsibilities


*         Work as part of an interdisciplinary team of imaging specialists, software engineers, mechanical engineers and surgeons

*         Design, implement and test CAD automation software tools

*         Work under leadership and guidance of senior software team members

*         Coordinate with other project team members to determine software requirements and technical specifications

*         3D GUI development

*         Write unit tests

*         Perform code reviews

*         Develop software validation and bench testing protocols

*         Perform and document all R&D efforts according to the company's FDA and ISO quality system procedures

Requirements


*         BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree and 3 years of relevant industry experience

*         Must have strong programming skills for Windows platform using Visual Studio (C++, C#, and/or VB.Net)

*         Experience in commercial CAD/CAM and CAD automation software development or computer graphics

*         Experience with SolidWorks API a plus

*         Must be able to work in a team environment, execute responsibilities with minimal direct supervision, and have a high attention to detail

*         Strong verbal and written communication skills

*         Experience with SDLC documentation such as requirement or design specifications
