Maybe your midterms are over by now? Regardless, hiking > homework.
(and I heard the stacks say they don't like hanging out with you on the weekend)
WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY
The Feed!
Once again we find ourselves convening at the Rock (http://www.dartmouth.edu/~cabtrail/rock.shtml) at an undetermined time to eat a delightful meal of an undetermined type cooked by a determined chef. Details will be forthcoming - expect the culinary spectacle of the year! or perhaps of the day.
Cost: $4 for a homecooked meal!
FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY
Duration: Leaving at 2, getting back before 4:00
Cost: Free for members; $3 foor nonmembers
Difficulty: should be ~40 min - 1 hr of running but it's really however long/fast you'd like to run! (No experience necessary!)
Tired of running on the streets or treadmill? Not really sure what the Appalachian Trail looks like in Vermont? (Don't even know what the Appalachian Trail is?) Then join us for an afternoon of escaping from the sun and exploring some trails a bit farther away. We'll take a quick drive over to Norwich to the trailhead of the AT and adventure through some beautiful trails, proving you with a refreshing start to the weekend!
Blitz Jen Estrada by Wednesday afternoon to sign up!
SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY
Hike to Holt's Ledge
Take a ride up to the skiway and then hike 5 miles round trip to check out the view from Holt's Ledge. Hike is 5 miles round trip, with some elevation gain, but overall very friendly to anyone. Depart at noon on Sunday and return by 4 at the latest, but probably earlier.
To sign up blitz your Da$h to Samuel Kernan by 11am on Thursday. Cost is $2 for DOC members and $5 for non-members.
Mt. Cube and Whippi Dip!
Spend your Sunday afternoon doing the moderate 7-mile hike up Mt. Cube, with gorgeous views from the bare, rocky summit not just towards the valley and Hanover, but also towards Moosilauke and the White mountains. Follow up the feast for your eyes with a feast for your tongue, as we stop at Whippi Dip on the way back
Ice-cream + Mt. Cube = …. Ice-Cube?
Leaving at noon, back by 6:30 or 7 pm.
$3 for DOC members, $5 for non-members
Blitz [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with your da$h number by noon on Friday to sign up (or if you have any questions!)
