Several of us birded from Ledyard up to Campbell Flats this morning. I
also birded the route in reverse before meeting everyone at 8 am, then
around my home and the Coop fields in Norwich. In addition to what
others may have already reported, highlights were a Common Tern and
Bonaparte's Gull off the Ompompanoosuc River mouth, single Wilson's
Warblers at Campbell Flats and Ledyard, a Great Crested Flycatcher at my
house, and a Solitary Sandpiper on the small pond behind Fogg's Hardware.
I meant to send out an earlier reminder about tomorrow's Quest outing to
Lake Runnemede. We'll meet at Ledyard at 7 am for anyone wanting to
carpool, or at Lake Runnemede at 7:30. We'll aim to be back in Norwich
by 11 am.
