The current OpenAFS client for Mac is version 1.6.1.  The previous version 
(1.6.0) has been found to cause system crashes in some circumstances.  We 
recommend upgrading to 1.6.1 for all users of OSX 10.5-10.7.
Upgrading will keep the local configuration, but it does require a reboot.

The local copy of the OpenAFS installers has been updated to provide 1.6.1
