Macs are still fine for business, graphics, video and the like.
Mountain Lion will add additional cloud capability which, for me, will be very useful as I create videos, Keynote presentations, and various documents on multiple devices.
And one can indeed be a "power user" with an iPad. I've created complete presentations for conferences on my first-generation iPad. And, with an adaptor, I've presented at conferences from my iPad. Much more efficient than using a laptop.
