This is a reminder of the illustrated presentation by Conservation Biologist Rosalind Renfrew from the Vermont Center for Ecostudies on
"The Art of Bobo-linking"
at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2011, at the Howe Library in Hanover, NH. This program, arranged by the Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon, is free and open to the public.
The Bobolink is among the most colorful birds of open fields in New England during the late spring and summer. Dr. Renfrew has studied Bobolinks from nesting grounds here in North America to South American wintering areas including ones she discovered in Bolivia. Using state of the art techniques, she has investigated links between
nesting and wintering areas for birds annually flying thousands of miles over two continents. This program will appeal to all interested in birds, natural history,
and conservation.
Dr. Renfrew has also been the statewide
coordinator for the Second Vermont Breeding Bird Atlas project and the
editor of a forthcoming book presenting the findings of that atlas.
