Engineering Lab Instructor


Thayer School is looking for an Electrical Engineer to help support the laboratory component of  ENGS 22, 31, 62, and potentially other courses.  This job parallel to those of Doug Fraser, Terry Priestley, and Daniel Cullen.  

Responsibilities include:
*	Conceiving, developing, implementing, and overseeing student laboratory experiences in digital electronics and related areas.
*	Supervising student teaching assistants (TAs) in these teaching labs.
*	Advising independent student electronics projects.
*	Subject areas include digital electronics and design including the use of FPGAs. microcontrollers and embedded systems,  sensor/actuator interfacing, and systems (ENGS 22)

This candidate should have:
*	A Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
*	Five years experience in a broad range of engineering design including digital electronics and microcontrollers, or equivalent.
*	Knowledge of digital electronics, including HDL based design and simulation.
*	Excellent communication skills and independent enthusiasm and initiative.
*	Experience in any of the following is an additional asset but not required: control theory, physics, chemical, mechanical, or thermal engineering, academic and/or teaching experience.
