Have you tried just opening them?
They should just open. No macros etc. needed. Unicode is not an issue.

Hi.

I have piles of files which were created using Nisus 6.5 which I would like to convert to Nisuswriter files. The problem is that they include a lot of Japanese text which is of course not in unicode. Does anyone have a macro, or application, or something by which I can convert these files without having them all retyped? I have available a computer running Tiger and one running 10.3 in addition to the ultimate target which is running Snow Leopard. Thank you very much.
