Hi Jason,
it's quite easy to do. You need to have a Google account. Then you need to prove that the website is yours. This can be done with a special code or a file. Then some javascript needs to be added to every file. For my Drupal website this was done in a minute or so. And afterwards welcome to the strange world of web analytics.
