I need Rosetta and was going to partition my hard disc and install Snow Leopard on the partition. I made a partition and then found that first I could not run the Snow Leopard CD on Lion, then I could not copy the 10.6.8 combo update to the partition as it was not large enough. I made it larger, copied the update to it and it won't open without an installer.
I now see that my HD has shrunk to 50.98 GB and I can't manage to bring this back to the 400+ GB it should be!

One of my reasons is that there is at least one crucial program in my environment which is PPC only (it is a very old OCR program for Japanese text called "Yonde!! Koko"). Has anyone on this list tried to install Snow Leopard (and Rosetta) in a virtual environment on Lion? How does it work...?
