Today about 15 participants braved a continuing rain in a scheduled
one hour, pre-breakfast, bird walk of the Green Mountain Club around
the lawns at Camp Plymouth State Park on the shores of Echo Lake in
Plymouth, Windsor County, VT (near Route 100). Highlights included 3
Common Mergansers, an Osprey, Belted Kingfisher, and a number of Cedar
Waxwings. Bird vocalizations seemed somewhat subdued on this damp
morning, but Red-eyed Vireo, American Robin, Gray Catbird, Chestnut-
sided Warbler, American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, Chipping
Sparrow, and Song Sparrow were all singing in the rain.

Norwich, VT
