Yesterday morning as I left for work, a male Ruffed Grouse strutted
across the road in front of my car with his tail fanned. He had a
very nice circular "bouquet" of fluffy white feathers on his back
end. Never seen that before.

This evening, I flushed two grouse from two different locations along
the logging road behind our house. Almost gave me a heart attack
each time. Marianne
