On our noon time walk in Hanover, there were two White-throated
Sparrows in a patch of dried flowers at 57 Lyme Road near CRREL plus
Tree Swallows flying over CRREL.
On our evening walk through the woods at home (East Camp Hill Rd,
Weathersfield), there were two Hermit Thurshes, one seen and one
heard (weeep!). Wood frogs quacking in our pond along with a pair
of mallards and a phoebe. Spring peepers too!
Up to a dozen (no kidding, most ever) woodcock peenting and
displaying along a one mile stretch of Skyline Drive and next to our
house.
However, we have yet to see a Fox Sparrow this year. I think we are
the only ones.
