I do believe you are. It's not hard to understand that. I didn't like the labels in OS X either the first time I saw them, I guess I still prefer the way Apple used labels in System 9. For this reason I tried Labels X <http://unsanity.com/haxies/labels>

but the labels there were even worse if I remember right.

In the Finder part of Secrets PrefPane there is an option called "Show stripes in list views". I guess this refers to how open windows are displayed in Finder. I don't know whether these stripes are supposed to be horizontal or vertical. It does not seem to matter whether I enable this option or disable it (I restart the Finder each time I make changes of course), I *always* see white and light blue stripes (= rows) when I open a folder in list view. I think this is the default option for 10.6.5.

Does this option, i.e. switching stripes on and off, work by you?
