Thanks Brian,

Interesting.  Sounds great for presentations. . .

But actually I was lamenting rather in the opposite direction-- how  
applying labels to files in the Finder results in of coloring the  
whole icon, name, and folder end triangle of colored, which makes  
heavy distractions, particularly in the column view, from the normal  
list of files and the more subtle selection-indicating shading which  
shows the path back up the hierarchy of folders.  In other words, I  
think there is way too much color applied.  I want the file names un- 
touched and any color to be subtle.  I turned off the 'Blue'  
appearance in favor of the more subdued 'graphite'.  I would actually  
like the ability to turn off the showing of color for Finder Labels,  
which would allow me to use labels without having to suffer the  
circus of colors in the display.

As you might guess, as much as I like a bright red, white, and blue  
flag-- in its proper place-- I cheered some years ago when Kino asked  
if it could be subdued in color for the language indicator in NWP.
