A morning of birding with George Clark produced a number of interesting
birds. Again the best fell out side of Norwich, (wilder dam) but a
productive morning none the less.
Along with the highlights from the dam (below), we were able to find:
2 groups of Black Scoters near the Ompompanoosuc River confluence. 2
females and a young male were in the same place as George reported one from
yesterday, and another group of 4 females just down stream.
A Golden-Crowned Kinglet near the first group of Scoters.
A Coopers Hawk and Belted Kingfisher at Foley Park (Ledyard)
2 Bald Eagles, many Red-tailed Hawks, and a loose "flock" of Ravens
A Fox Sparrow at a feeder on Kendall Station Rd.
