Andre,

You could set up an on timer script trigger that checks a field periodically. If the field is set have the PC run the script.

So on the PC side it checks the platform, if it is a PC it starts the On timer script.

On the Mac side you have a button/script that sets the trigger field.

When the PC finds the trigger field set it does the update and clears the trigger field, then goes back to checking for the trigger field to be set.

I'm sure there will be more to work out, but this could provide the remote control you are looking for. There may be some delay based on the interval of the on timer PC script and processing.

I haven't tried this, but think with some work and testing it could do the job for you.
I hope this idea is helpful

So, for example, if I'm on a Mac and I want to see an up-to-the-minute inventory count, I have to go over to the PC, run the sync script which requests the data from QuickBooks, then go back to my Mac to work with the data. Sure, I could do it all on the PC—FileMaker is FileMaker after all. But I prefer to use the Mac. Hence my query.
