Some highlights among birds in Norwich today included:

Along Sugarhouse Road this morning:

	Alder Flycatcher

In the vicinity of the Mitchell Lake Trout Club ponds along Tigertown  
Road this morning:

	Mallard (17 adults, 6 ducklings)	
	Hooded Merganser (1 female)
	Eastern Wood-Pewee
	Alder Flycatcher
	Least Flycatcher
	Veery
	Wood Thrush
	Louisiana Waterthrush
	Mourning Warbler
	Scarlet Tanager (a brilliantly colored, singing male)
	Purple Finch (a 1st year singing male)

At Pompy this afternoon:

	Canada Goose (at least 31)
	Wood Duck (1)
	Mallards (at least 7 adults + a few ducklings)
