The "Ipswich" Savannah Sparrow is not currently considered a separate 
species, but is referred to in various field guides as a separate 
"population", "form", or "race" of the Savannah Sparrow. Its population is 
said to breed exclusively on Sable Island, Nova Scotia and probably numbers 
less than 1,000 individuals (The Birders Handbook, by Ehrlich, Dobkin, & 
Wheye).
