This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Wednesday, February 
10th, 2010.



A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen along Route 2 just east of the junction with 
Route 115A in Jefferson on February 6th.



At least 65 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were reported from near the High School on 
Route 16 in Gorham on February 9th. A flock of over 80 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS was 
seen at the southwest corner of the shopping center located across from the 
Hospital in New London on February 10th.



2 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS and a BOREAL CHICKADEE were seen on Greenough Pond 
Road in Errol, and 3 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were reported along Route 16 
between Dummer and Errol, all on February 9th.



An adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was reported from the fields at Garlin 
Farm in Farmington on February 7th.



A gray-morph EASTERN SCREECH-OWL has been seen regularly along Route 1A in 
Rye, roosting in a tree about 100-yards north of the entrance to Odiorne 
Point State Park, and was last reported on February 10th.



7 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen on Chickwolnepy Road in Milan on February 9th, 
and a number of others were reported from north of Gorham during the past 
week.



4 GRAY JAYS were reported from the Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge 
Headquarters on Route 16 in Wentworth's Location on February 9th.



A BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER was seen on the Cohos Trail at the Pondicherry 
National Wildlife Refuge in Jefferson on February 6th.



A PEREGRINE FALCON was seen in Somersworth and one was seen in Hampton, both 
during the past week, and a MERLIN was seen in Lebanon on the 8th.



A WILSON'S SNIPE was seen on the grounds of the Winnacunnet High School in 
Hampton on February 9th.



A PIED-BILLED GREBE was seen on North Mill Pond in Portsmouth on February 
6th.



A YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER has been seen regularly visiting a bird-feeder in 
Newmarket during the past week.



Over 20 HORNED LARKS have been reported from Hampton Beach State Park during 
the past week.



86 COMMON GOLDENEYES were seen on the Merrimack River in Concord between Bow 
and Sewall's Falls on February 10th.



A WINTER WREN was reported from Epping on February 6th.
