	I stopped briefly at the Ledyard Bridge on my way to campus this morning to try  
to find Spencer and Doug Hardy's Orchard Orioles.  I neither saw nor heard any  
signs of the orioles, unfortunately, but I enjoyed a close Green Heron flyover  
-- it flew right over my head and spiraled down to land on the water on the west  
side of the tracks.  In addition to the usual suspects singing at this spot (American  
Redstart, Warbling Vireo, Gray Catbird, Song Sparrow, Yellow Warbler, Red-eyed  
Vireo, etc.), there was a pair of Wood Ducks in the water on the east side of  
the tracks.
