The Mascoma Chapter of NH Audubon held its final "Feathered Friday" walk of the year at the Union Village Dam this morning. A group of 6 birders saw and/or heard 39 species of birds, plus a porcupine in a tree, 3 rabbit sightings, and a deer.

Thanks to all the birders who showed up for one or another of our Wednesday (Boston Lot) and Friday walks this all-too-short birding season. Detail species reports will be posted at
mascomabirds.com shortly. For now, though, this Vermonter would like to point out that while the Boston Lot list totaled 68 species, UV Dam found 70...but who's counting?????? (hah)

As you've probably noticed, all our trips are posted to e-bird, so if you are also on e-bird or would like an easy way to start using it, email [log in to unmask], and we will share our lists with you.
