Weekend survey of a few grassland habitats I have observed Bobolinks nesting in past years.

Top of Storrs Hill - Tomapo Farm hayfields - 30+ seemed like they were popping up in every direction. Unfortunately, the fields next to the Tomapo fields are not favorable for nesting, as cutting is done 2-3 times a season. I would bet the first cutting will be in a week or so.

Lebrun Meadow Rt.4 Lebanon - 2 males on opposite ends of the meadow.

Signal Hill Lebanon - all was quiet.
