This morning, we birded Paradise Park and the Windsor Prison
Grasslands until noon. Highlights included a Grey-cheeked Thrush,
Virginia Rails (4), Swamp Sparrow, Wood Ducks, Louisiana Waterthrush,
and Alder FC (along with a pile of warblers); and at the prison
fields, Field and Savannah Sparrows, Brown Thrasher, Magnolia
Warbler, loads of Bobolinks, Willow FC, and Blue-winged Warblers
(4+). Including in-transit birds, over 60 species. These are two of
or favorite spots for birding in the UV.
